Hey all! I'm Cristina, and that gorgeous little boy in the last picture is my son, Elijah. I'm a single mom, and I feel so blessed to have him as my son. There are many things that I love to do, including reading and writing, playing with my son, cooking, spending time with family and friends, hiking, and watching movies. I moved to Michigan to be close to my family after my divorce, and love that my son is growing up around his cousins. My style is eclectic; I wear what I want based on my mood

tiatia826 @mariazimmet You are very close! My baby just turned 8! I cannot believe it! You are such a wonderful woman. I stumbled across your closet today, and once I saw your family pictures, I could see that grace and generosity in you. You remind me a great deal of my mother. I lost her almost two years ago, but she too was a woman full of grace, beauty, and a deep, abiding love for her family, much like you. I felt very drawn to you immediately after seeing you with your family. My mother was the heart of our family, as you seem to be in yours. I am so happy that we stumbled across each other as we did!

mariazimmet @tiatia826 you sound like a special person your self , your son is about 2 years older then my grandson he's 5 going to be 6 in slept .. aww I'm so honored to be compared to your mom, I'm sorry for your loss , my mom passed 2 1/2 yes ago and my dad passed 4 months later from a broken heart., I know the feeing to well, I'm truly sorry for your loss.. she sounds like an amazing woman .. sure she is very proud of the women you are too. you sound so heart warming .. tiatia826 @mariazimmet Thanks for all your kind words, Maria. I feel as if I've known you for a long time as well. I saw your beautiful grandson. Those eyes! He looks like a true charmer. I'm so sorry you lost your mother, and then your father so soon thereafter. We were very concerned that would happen with my father. They were together 61 years, and were still madly, deeply in love after all that time. He did have to have open heart surgery about nine months after she passed, and we are all still convinced that the loss of her physically damaged his heart. I am one of five daughters, no sons, and we are all very close. My dad is almost 81, and we all work very hard to make sure that he stays busy with us and his grandchildren. But the loss of my mom is something that we seem to feel again with each day. I'm not sure that one ever gets over the loss of one's mother. The bond is too strong.

tiatia826 @jenncall69 Hey sweetie! I hate to jinx it, but I believe we are finally in the mend. He's been really stuffy today and tonight, but with this insane Michigan weather, who isn't?! I did get a tad pissed though, because I got a letter from his school principal stating that he has had too many absences, and if it continues she will have no choice but to report me to the truancy officer. I could not believe it! Poor little guy has been so sick this winter, and instead of sending work home with me for him to do at home (which I asked about), they're threatening to turn me into the Po-Po! She also made some snide comment about him possibly not being ready for 3rd grade because of the absences, and that just set me off. I was like, look lady - by the end of 1st grade he was reading at a 4th grade level. He tests in the 99th percentile for kids his age and grade across the nation in the national testing they do a couple times a year, AND his report card that just came home had mostly 100% in his classes, and definitely nothing lower than an 86%, which I think was in PE. So. I think he's ready to start 3rd grade NOW. What do you think?! She just muttered a little after that. What complete bunk. So I'm just praying he stays healthy so that he can feel good and play with his friends and go to school. And so that I don't end up in the slammer! Lol! How are you and your brood doing? Are you feeling better? Where do you all live? You may have told me already and I forgot, and if so please forgive me. It's been a mind numbing couple of months. I thought it was either Ohio or NC, but I'm probably way off base. :-) I wish you lived close. I think you and I would have a blast and lots of laughs in the "real" world! Write and let me know what's happening with you. xoxo

jenncall69 @tiatia826 - Well knock on wood he's out of the woods and back to doing little boy stuff in no time! (Like going to school!) That kind of school crap just burns me up! Been there done that... And the principle has the scars to prove it! 😁 Well, we're all battling it still here... (I live in Virginia!) 14 yr old son is sick now. 11 yr old is recovering. Hubby trying to get over his and I'm still coughing like a TB patient! I actually cracked a rib from coughing! 😧 Man, is that painful! Hopefully weather will turn soon and we can all start feeling better. You know, I've been meaning to ask you what size clothes your little dude wears... I've got just bins and bins of boys clothes that I could list for dirt cheap if you're interested. I've got to get my basement cleaned out! You'd be helping me out. Lmk, and I'll get to work on it. If not, I'll just be selling it locally I guess. And I do agree, we would be he'll on wheels if we lived closer! Take care, girlie! 😘

She was just so freaking condescending, and I have zero tolerance for that. Plus I'm known for speaking my mind (perhaps too much sometimes? Naaaah) and being direct and straightforward, so when she tried to act like she was MY principal I was like , uh uh, no way. So Virginia. Wow. I was way off! As far as the boy's clothes go, that's an awesome and very generous offer! Thank you! He is just moving into an 8. He's got that tall skinny thing going on, so his pants end up as floods way before he outgrows the waist. I always end up buying those adjustable waist pants. Those are a fabulous invention! But 8's are perfect for him right now. Same with shirts, sweaters, etc., - all size 8. So I would definitely purchase a bundle of boy's size 8 clothes if you have them! Thanks again, my friend. Yes, we would definitely be hell on wheels, and have a blast in the process! I'm so sorry about your cracked rib! That's terrible! That happened to a friend of mine when she was pregnant. They had to give her painkillers and she was on bed rest for a few days. I've heard it's very painful. I hope they heal quickly. I hope they gave you some decent drugs for the pain! The doctors told me I would not be able to ever get pregnant, but I tried anyway for years. And then God decided to show those doctors who the real Boss was, and he gave me my beautiful little miracle baby! I thank Him everyday for this blessing that comes in such a small package, but brings me so much joy.

I'm sorry I've been out of touch, but Elijah broke his right foot on Friday night, and then had to have it recast on Sunday night (when I was giving him a bath he totally forgot about his foot and dunked it into the water). We are great! My hubs and I had a very quick trip to WA DC over the weekend & Kids were loving the sunshine at home :) Seattle has a gorgeous forecast this whole week - so we are super excited for 🌞🌞🌞🌞 I emailed PM thru Lizgarver to see if that works better. tiatia826 @krenee79 5?!? 5?!!? Wowza! You are amazing and inspiring. Being a single mom to one is tough, but 5? Yes, Elijah is a great name, isn't it? ;-). We never had to think twice. There was never that, what should we name him? We always new that if we had a boy, his name would be Elijah. And it suits him to a T. Yes, moving to Michigan after my divorce was a good choice. It was the only choice, really. I had no money and we had to live with my dad for almost a year. Do you live far from most of your family?

tiatia826 @leic Leilani!! How are you my dear friend?! I'm sorry I've been so out of touch, but I swear this has been the craziest summer - followed by the craziest start of school - ever! Elijah has been sick with an upper respiratory thing for a couple of weeks now. They just put him on a new antibiotic today, so God willing, that will help. We've both also been suffering from stomach issues - basically just small those germs that you are re-exposed to at the first part of every school year. How have you been, my friend? I pray that you've been filled with the Holy Spirit, and that your days have been wonderful, each in it's own way. How are your beautiful purses doing?
